BIOGRAPHY
Anisley Lago was born on October 23, 1987, in Havana, Cuba. She studied Fine Arts at the National Academy of San Alejandro, graduating in 2012. That same year, she moved to the United States, where she lives and works.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My paintings explore inner worlds shaped by physical and spiritual journeys. They emerge from a conscious and subconscious desire for freedom, and from questions about where we come from, where we are going and who we might become.
Through these imagined spaces, I reflect on existence, the challenges of being and the possibilities of seeing life differently.
